As an experienced Mediation and Peace Building Specialist, along with being a skilled Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant, I bring over 15 years of practical expertise in providing inclusive mediation support. I’ve worked with various organizations across Africa, including regional groups, UN agencies, research institutes, and universities.

Throughout my career, I served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Global Dialogue (IGD) for 1.5 years, a Senior Researcher at the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) for 4 years, and a Civilian Human Rights Observer with the African Union Mission in Mali and the Sahel (MISAHEL) for a year. I also spent 5 years as a University Lecturer, teaching Human Rights and International Law at the University of Zululand and the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

My practical skills include mediation process design, multi-track mediation processes, facilitation, and offering remote and on-site technical assistance for conflict prevention or mediation efforts. I have hands-on experience in mainstreaming gender and social inclusion in mediation processes, as well as designing women-inclusive processes across all levels of mediation.

I’ve served as a consultant and researcher on conflict management, peace-building, and security for esteemed international organizations such as the African Union, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), The Institute of Security Studies (ISS Africa), Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes, and the Institute for Global Dialogue.
